Sample Lesson Modules
e-Tutor lesson modules are written by educators from around the country. This makes for a rich and varied curriculum where each lesson module has its own voice. All lesson modules have been written exclusively for e-Tutor. Our philosophy is to use the resources of the Internet to reinforce the concepts and skills being taught in the Study Guide. You will notice that there are hyperlinks throughout each lesson module which provide the student with additional information helping to increase the knowledge base.
Here are four lesson modules in different curricular areas and at different instructional levels which will give you an idea of what an e-Tutor lesson module has to offer:
In the e-Tutor instructional program students are asked to review all of the links in the Resource section and then write a few sentences (or in the case of the Primary student draw pictures) describing what they have learned. Students write sentences or create word puzzles using the Vocabulary words. Students are to demonstrate to a parent or other adult the results of their work in the Activity and Extended Learning Sections. The objective is to have the student communicate what they have learned.
e-Tutor lesson modules cover 23 subjects in Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. Lesson Modules are grouped at four levels, Primary (K-3), Intermediate (4-5), Middle/Jr. High (6-8) and High School (9-12). The cross-aging of lesson modules gives the student more opportunities for a broader range of instruction where some may be easier and can be used for review and others more challenging.
e-Tutor is constantly adding to its bank of lesson modules. Students are presented with new instructional material on a monthly basis.
